DialMyTone HeadRush Link: Privacy

• When you press Send or Test connection on www.dialmytone.com, the page hands the extension the rig to send and the address of your HeadRush that you typed (its .local name or its IP address on your network).
• The extension sends those requests to that address only, over your own network, and passes the unit’s answers back to the page. It reaches only .local names and private network addresses, and only the HeadRush features a send needs: it adds a new rig and never overwrites, renames or deletes one.
• Your browser asks you once per address to allow the extension to reach your HeadRush there. It has no access to any other site you visit, and it works only on www.dialmytone.com and dialmytone.com.

• The HeadRush address you last typed in the extension’s own window, in your browser’s extension storage, so you don’t have to type it again.
• A list of its last 30 requests to your unit, for the extension’s “Recent requests” view. The browser deletes it when it closes.

Neither ever leaves your computer. Removing the extension deletes both. The access you allowed for an address can be removed at any time in your browser’s extension settings.

The extension collects no personal data. It does not send anything to Dial My Tone or to anyone else, has no analytics or tracking of its own, does not read the pages you visit, and loads no code from the internet. We do not sell, share or transfer data from the extension, and do not use it for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose other than sending your rig to your unit.

Sending happens on www.dialmytone.com, which is covered by our Privacy Policy. To support the feature and fix failures, the website itself records the outcome of each send attempt with your account: whether it worked, which way it was sent (for example through this extension and its version), the unit’s model, firmware and name, the address you typed, and your browser’s user agent. Those records are made by the website, not by the extension.
