Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
This policy explains how to cancel a Dial My Tone subscription and when we refund a charge. It sits alongside our Terms & Conditions; where the two differ on refunds or cancellation, this policy governs.
1. What we sell
Dial My Tone sells subscription access to an AI tone-generation service. Each plan includes a set number of tone generations per billing period. Generations are delivered instantly and are consumed as you use them. There are no physical goods, so there is nothing to ship and nothing to return — see our Delivery Policy.
2. Cancel any time
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Account → Billing. Select Manage subscription, which opens the secure billing portal run by our payment processor, Stripe, where you can cancel. No phone call, no email, no chat, and no retention flow.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until then, and you are not charged again.
3. Try the free plan before you pay
The free plan is genuinely free, has no time limit, and does not require a card. It is there so you can evaluate the Service properly before you ever pay us. We never convert a free account to a paid one automatically.
Because you can try Dial My Tone for as long as you like without paying, we ask you to use the free plan to decide whether it is right for you.
4. Refunds
Except where a refund is required by law, and except for the billing errors and service faults described in the next section, payments are non-refundable. We do not refund partial periods, unused generations or saves, downgrades, or renewal charges, and usage allowances do not roll over between billing periods.
This applies to annual plans too: if you cancel part-way through a year, you keep access for the full year you paid for, but the charge is not refunded pro rata.
You can avoid an unwanted renewal by cancelling at any point before it happens. Cancelling stops all future charges; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
5. Duplicate charges and service faults
Duplicate or accidental charges are always refunded in full. If the Service fails to deliver a generation you paid for, we credit the generation back or refund you — whichever you prefer. This is not discretionary and you do not need to argue for it.
6. EU, UK, and EEA customers — your right of withdrawal
You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services. When you subscribe, you are asked to expressly request immediate access and to acknowledge that, once we begin providing the service, you lose that 14-day right.
If you did not give that consent, or if we had not yet begun providing the service, you keep your full 14-day withdrawal right and we will refund you in full. Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence.
7. How to request a refund
If you believe you have been charged in error, or the Service failed to deliver something you paid for, email support@dialmytone.com with the email address on your account and the date of the charge. We respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. Your bank may take longer to show the credit.
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We can almost always resolve it faster.
8. How charges appear
Charges appear on your card or bank statement as DIALMYTONE. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
