Why we think this is right
Baba O'Riley (Who's Next, 1971) is Townshend's 1959 Gretsch 6120 through an Edwards Light Beam optical volume pedal into a cranked 1959 tweed Fender Bandmaster (his own quote: used the Gretsch on every track). Resolved defects: (1) no_controls — guitar, volume pedal and amp all carry real values; the tweed's Presence/Bass/Treble/Volume layout is stated (no invented mid/master). (2) unbound_fx — the Edwards volume pedal is listed in every section (bypassed in the guitar-tacet organ intro, engaged in the guitar sections). (3) thin_sections — four snapshots (organ intro w/ no guitar, verse swells, bridge/'teenage wasteland' strum, accelerating instrumental outro), differentiated by volume-pedal dynamics and gain deltas. (4) conflict — tweed Bandmaster named as the amp actually used, tweed Bassman marked as the explicit alternate. No modded_amp and no tone_gap: one cranked tweed covers the whole guitar part; the famous intro arpeggio is a Lowrey organ (keyboard) and the outro solo is Dave Arbus on violin — both noted, neither is guitar. Cab/mic are passive placement blocks; specific mic inferred (low confidence).
